So the Mistress was looking good
with the new MRT Cherry 6T6
Hood. Not only does it look great, it is also very functional.
But... coming from a stock hood with a BIG hood scoop and a cool black
racing stripe down the middle... well, the solid yellow hood was just a tad
bit plain. At first I wanted flames... but it didn't look right... then I
thought some black on the "panels"... hmmm... that's not very exciting.
Why not combine the two? That might look cool...

So I took a picture of the Mistress and started playing with
it. My original idea was fade the black part way up the hood and then add
some realistic flames. As a final touch I though maybe putting an MRT
logo in the flames would be pretty cool.
Now as it turns out MRT
has now started offering custom airbrushing and painting! How
convenient is that! With Photoshop picture in hand I headed down to
MRT! I sat
down with Scott (once again!) to discuss my plan. And once again, Scott
said, "Yep, I think we can do that." He then showed me samples of
Jeff's the airbrush artist's work. After seeing the samples, I knew my
"project" was in good hands! |

Two days later, I start getting pictures from MRT! I was stunned! What
I seen in the pictures was absolutely AMAZING! This was turning out better
than I ever imagined!

Part of my "project" was to put some flames on the trunk panel (between the
tail lights). Here's the start.

Now my original plan was to do flames on the hood and trunk only... but
Scott informed me that they had come up with some pretty cool ideas for the
side, that would really complete the Flame theme I was going for.
Well, after seeing how awesome the hood and trunk had turned out, how could
I say no! So I gave Scott the go ahead... LET'S DO IT! I had no
idea what their cool ideas for the side were so I waited patiently for some
new pictures... I was like a kid waiting for Christmas morning!
The pictures arrived... and once again I was simply amazed at what I saw!
It was absolutely stunning! The design was perfect and really tied the
front and back together! It really did complete my Flame theme!

So those gun metal gray wheels just
weren't cutting it with the new paint scheme... so I had MRT put on some Hot
Wheels rims and some new Nitto NTRD1's! The new tires are
255/45/18's.. So how cool is it to have a real life Hot Wheels car!
