As I mentioned on the Home page, I have always wanted a yellow Mustang. And
I've always wanted an old style car. For me, a yellow car needs to be a
BRIGHT yellow... not pale... but a bright, deep yellow. And as far as
actually owning an old style car... well, let's face it I don't even know
which end of a screwdriver to use! So when the local Ford dealership
got in the new "Retro" style 2005 Mustangs, I thought I would just pop in
for quick look...Well, as it turned out they had a Screaming Yellow 2005
V6 Coupe. Now, I will admit I was very hesitant about buy a V6
Mustang. My sports cars have V8, except for that 1978 Datsun 280Z.
So I took the V6 for a test drive. Boy, what a surprise! This
was a huge improvement over those doggy V6's of the 1980's! This car
has some power! Then I test drove the new V8 GT. Again, wow,
very nice and the 300HP was definitely there... BUT... the asking price
around town for GT was $2,500 to $3,000 OVER the sticker price! Now,
out of principal I never pay sticker for a car, let alone OVER sticker! I
did entertain the thought of spending the extra money... but their was one
snag. It was impossible to find a Screaming Yellow GT! And I had to
have YELLOW! So I decided to save my money, get the color I had to have and
go for the V6.

The Porsche |
So on March 16, 2005, I traded the keys to the 1999 Porsche
Boxster for a 2005 V6 Mustang Coupe. I drove home with a HUGE smile on my
face! The car was absolutely stunning to me. I was extremely happy
with it... but then it started... |

Fresh from the dealer |
Yep, the modifications... It started out very innocently... a knob here, a
cover there, some racing stripes... Then I started to realize that with just
a little tweaking we could get more performance out of the new 4.0 liter V6.
Next thing you know I've put a Nitrous Oxide system the car. At that point
I've hooked up with a couple of the most respected Mustang performance shops
in the country! The car has taken on a life of her own! I say
"her" because some where along the line we started call her "The
Mistress".... The next thing you know The Mistress is featured in
Modified Mustangs magazine! WOW! What a ride it has been!
Now that ride has not always been smooth. We've hit a few bumps
along the way. I broke that motor at 29,000 miles. Gone through a
couple of different muffler systems and cold air intakes. It's certainly has
been a learning experience. And I guess that's the main purpose of
this website. To share some of the things I've learn about Mustangs...
in particular the S197 V6 Mustang. So check out the website... hope you find
it enjoyable...
